DJI Enterprise Drones and Solutions for Wind Turbine Inspection

Traditional Challenges in Wind Turbine Inspection

Operations need to be paused for inspections, where cranes lift personnel high up to get close to the blades and record observational data, which is risky and time-consuming. Inspection data are qualitative records that might not be digitized, which can cause issues in recordkeeping and takes longer from inspection to repairs.

How Drones Inspect Wind Turbines

Automated flight routes can be set up to conduct thorough, repeatable inspections of the wind turbine without safety risks to personnel. Drones can get close-up images of defects on the blade such as cracks, water ingress, corrosion or rust with a zoom camera without shutting down operations. Drone inspection results are quantitative and digitized, facilitating data analysis and recordkeeping.

We offer enterprise and industrial drones with value-added training plus year-round support to our clients. Please contact us at [email protected] or [email protected] to inquire.
