Transmission towers need be inspected, assessed and possibly updated, that is where the creation of digital twins using drones comes in.

Where, the clients can measure, annotate and file records of the assets. Drone inspection is the practical solution for transmission and distribution lines, as well as substations.

Drone inspections not only reduce inspection time, it also save labor costs and more importantly reduce the risks for the inspectors. Furthermore, drone inspections give higher quality datasets.

The inspection that previously requires use of helicopter, or a long-range high-spec cameras, and manual inspection like climbing towers can now be performed with drones equipped with PIX4DScan and processed in PIX4DInspect.

Slow, expensive and dangerous inspections are now replaced with safer and more cost-effective drone inspections, and using intelligent software. Transmission tower inspection using PIX4DScan and PIX4DInspect can cut inspection time by 50% to 60%.
