PowerShield System’s mSensor
PowerShield8 is a versatile Advanced Battery Monitoring and Management System that can monitor all your critical battery assets, whether they are Lead Acid, Ni-Cad, or Lithium. Designed to easily integrate with all common UPS, BMS, and DCIM systems.
At the heart of the PowerShield system is the hardware component mSensor, a device that can collect high-quality battery data and through a Bbus adaptor, can connect to other systems for processing, presentation and use. PowerShield focuses on high-quality battery data collection to meet the most demanding uses cases in different industries.
At the battery level, smart mSensors measure block-level data, effectively turning VRLA, VLA and NiCad batteries into smart batteries. mSensors measure battery voltage, ripple voltage, and temperature every 4 seconds, and impedance (ohmic value) daily.
Designed for use with batteries in racks or cabinets, mSensors come with pre-terminated harnesses to ensure ease and quality of installation. LED indicators show when mSensors are online and operating correctly, assisting fault finding and installation efficiency.
Today, there are over a million mSensors connected to the PowerShield battery monitoring systems, making batteries and back-up power systems smarter and safer.
